Dr. Julia Parker originally is from the Great Lakes region, where her extended family still resides. After deciding she wanted to become a veterinarian, she moved to Washington State in 2008, where she fell in love with the greater Seattle area. She went to school at Washington State University School of Veterinary Medicine and has worked east and south of Seattle doing mixed pet and small animal practice and relief work.
Dr. Parker’s professional interests include geriatric medicine, multi-modal therapies and pain management, physical rehabilitation, and internal medicine. She greatly enjoys working on a variety of species; in addition to dogs and cats, she loves seeing her small ruminant, camelid, and pet pig patients.
Outside of work, Dr. Parker enjoys many activities including reading, swing dancing, and swimming - but especially loves hiking around our wonderful state parks with her husband Kyle, young son Raphael, and rescue dog Shadow.
