A Vet for Fremont

Straight up Leary, no bridge involved. Which is the part that matters when you're in a hurry.

The entrance to The Family Pet on 15th Ave NW

Fremont to our door is one road. Leary Way NW runs north-west out of Fremont and lands you in Ballard, and at no point does it cross water.

No Bridge. That’s the Whole Pitch.

If you live in Fremont, you already know that your day can be decided by a bridge. The Fremont Bridge is one of the busiest drawbridges in the country, and when it goes up, a ten-minute errand becomes a half-hour one with no warning.

It isn’t between you and us. Leary keeps you on the north side of the canal the entire way, which means the trip takes the time it says it will. On a day when your dog has eaten something they shouldn’t have, that reliability is worth more than the distance saved.

The Burke-Gilman Trail also connects the two neighborhoods directly, and a fair number of Fremont clients walk or ride in for routine visits in summer rather than driving at all.

Getting Here

Leary Way NW north-west, continue as it becomes NW Leary Way, then north on 15th Ave NW. We’re on the east side, a short way north of Market.

Street parking on the side streets just off 15th; check the signs for time limits. The RapidRide D Line runs along 15th if you’d rather not drive at all.

What Fremont Brings Us

A young neighborhood with a lot of first dogs. The questions we get asked most from this direction are the ones people are asking for the first time, and they’re good questions:

We’ll take as long as it takes on that first visit, and we won’t sell you anything you didn’t come in needing.
